Laser Pain Treatment
Laser pain treatment is for pain relief in many areas. It can be done before or even after surgery. The goal is to reduce nerve trunk firing and also possibly decrease neuropathic pain. The treatment will heat the painful area and alleviate pain in the area. It can treat pain in the neck and back. Muscle spasm is often reduced along with the pain as well. Joint pains [wrist, elbow, shoulder, knee, hip, ankle]. Each session is about 20 minutes long in each area. Frequency: Recommend 3-4 treatments, every 2-3 weeks, depending on the response. Treatments are about 20 minutes per area using longer pulse durations [Piano mode]..
Temporomandibular [TMJ] Pain
These can be done on one side or both to decrease muscle spasm and clicking and often are done in conjunction with dental stabilization/appliances. Treatment use longer pulses and often headaches are also reduced. Frequency: Recommended treatments occur every 2 weeks per area and are 15-20 minutes per treatment
